Memories and Adventures from Alaska

I have tons to post about, but very little time! Right now I will post about our Pre-Thanksgiving adventures.
Daddy went snowshowing on Wednesday before Thanksgiving and he got to wear the cutest outfit!

Bubbies was relaxing and reading the sales ads for Black Friday while eating breakfast before his last day of day care for the week.

Our fridge was extremly full and we had been cooking since Saturday in order to feed twelved people on Thanksgiving Day. Mo had been coming over every night to make the " Soul" food as he called it while I baked and prepared the house. James was usually on baby duty!

While he may look sweet, he can turn on you in a minute. It takes someone with the Fawvor energy to keep up with him.

We cooked until about 10:30 Wednesday night and we were starting to feel the effects of a long day at work and then a long night of cooking.Mo even felt inclined to give the bird.

Speaking of birds...we had a 19lbs bird that we had to get up at 6:00 to start cooking. Big James was not only on Baby duty for Thanksgiving Day but turkey and ham duty as well.

By about noon, things were starting to turn around and we were getting into the holiday mood. Our guests were about to arrive and Bubbies was napping so we started to cut loose. I do have to get some work done, but more Thanksgiving pics will come later along with Christmas tree decorating pics and other fun weekend updates!

I haven't had much time to blog lately, but I managed to squeeze some time into today since I have gained a new fan base. The other night, we had a scheduling conflict and Bubbies had to come and spend a little time with me at work. It is getting close to cookie season. So I was in the middle of preparing our cookie packets that we give to our leaders when Bubbies arrived. It was a good thing that I was spread out all over the floor, because he immediately got to business at my desk.

He would type furiously while shouting out demands to the computer and then take a peaceful break to munch on a Girl Scout cookie.

Then something caught his eye....

A picture holder that looks like a coffee cup.

He then proceeded to add the coffee cup to his rotation of furiously banging on the keyboarding, shouting out demands to the computer, munching cookies, and then delicately sipping his coffee. It was beyond hilarious.

Please note: This all took place at 4:00 in the afternoon and it is pitch black outside. I have also cleaned my office since.

Our hilariously adorable staff picture.

SO very much to blog about!

Last weekend my bestest Alaska buddy Mara and I got together to have a baking day. We were like Ace of Cakes as we called ourselves with Mara's pumpkin rolls and my apple strudel. It was tons of fun and the boys got to play!

Caleb is getting so big. I usually get to see him once a week and everytime I see him he looks bigger and has a new trick.

Bubbies found a new toy while Caleb was over and he discovered that if he looked through it everything was a different color.

He really wanted Caleb to experience this phenonmenon. I don't think Caleb cared too much.

Yesterday, I picked Bubbies up from day care for a lunch date at Daddy's work. It was a retirement party for James' chief. Someone made a deliciously yummy and decorative cake for the occasion.

Bubbies and Daddy helped themselves to some pasta salad that Daddy made!

Then Bubbies checked out the trophy case.

Of course we got to see all of the guys. Jason making a face, Mabe and Wood in an after lunch stupor.

Howard hogging the brownies. He could use the extra calories (and a haircut)! Just kidding.

And...MO! It was getting very close to nap time and Mo was looking extra cuddly.

Last night during dinner Bubbies decided that he was going to walk into the living room and drop a piece of his roll. I then told him that he needed to pick it up and bring it back into the kitchen. Instead he went all the way into the basement where we keep large cleaning tools like our broom and vacum and returned with the shower cleaner. He then ran it back and forth over the carpet saying "bacum". He even got under the furniture! I think it is time to start getting an allowance. Too adorable!!

Well, we survived the weekend! I got some really cute pictures of Bubbies and his posse from Lacole our daycare provider.

The first set of pictures is from the PJ party that they had at day care. I think Bubbies really enjoyed being so comfy all day long!

Peek-a-Boo

Here is Bubbies and the posse getting ready for their Halloween Parties. Doesn't Bubbies look tough with his Nu-Nu?

This would probably explain the numerous suprises that Bubbies kept leaving in his diaper on Saturday.

This is my favorite picture. Bubbies looks like he is growling! My little man is growing up.

Happy Halloween to everyone! So Halloween for us was pretty fun! Bubbies had been celebrating for the last two days with his daycare buddies so he might have been maxed out by the time we got to celebrate with him because he refused to wear his costume.
We were only able to quickly snap these few pics before he ripped off the costume and started running around. We decided that even though it was a balmy 35 degrees outside on Halloween we would opt for the indoor trick or treating that our community center on post offered.

We even ran into our old neighboors and managed to snap a pic with Bubbies and Tori!

Then we ran into the best dressed family of the evening! Even though Bubbies is crying in this picture, he was actually very interested in these people. I was shocked b/c I was so sure that he would be terrified!

We spent the rest of our evening watching Bubbies play and run around. Not much trick or treating was actually done, but we did see some really cute costumes and Bubbies had fun and that is the most important thing.
PS he is still carrying around his little skeleton basket.
