Christmas morning and all of its glory was upon us! Jason was right on time at 6am on the dot and I was up early too so that I would be sure to catch Bubbies reaction on video. Bubbies is a very scheduled little man so I was sure that he would be up between 6 and 6:15 with out hesitation, so when 7:30 had rolled around and I had cooked breakfast, talked to my entire family, and managed to readjust the video camera fifty times, I was beginning to wonder when he was going to get up.

Then we heard a stir. The guest of honor was waking. It took him some time to get the hang of things, but once he woke up he was more than thrilled about his "Santa" toys!

Uncle Jason's enthusiasm for his PJ's spilled over into the next day for his stocking and presents.

I think that all of the excitment was a little overwhelming for Bubbies at times. He sat quietly at his little breakfast table for a long time and then he got back into the action.

We all got lots of fun gift from each other and friends and family back home!

As you can see, one of Bubbies favorite gifts is his Thomas couch from his Nanni and Papa Chisholm however, the cat's toys were also a huge hit!

Later that night we shared a nice dinner with a couple of friends. It was an relaxing Christmas. We really missed our family and friends back home, but we made the most of our family here in Fairbanks.

Christmas Eve had finally arrived. We were so excited we hardly knew what to do with all of our energy. So we decided to do some coloring with Bubs!

Then we opened our Christmas Eve presents. We always get a new set of PJs on Christmas Eve and no one was more excited about this tradition that Uncle Jason who spent Christmas with us.

After a vanilla incident we somehow managed to have homemade cookies for Santa and it was time to put little Bubbies to bed so Santa could make his delivery.

Santa's elves got to work quickly.

Even the cat helped.

When it was all said and done, Santa and his helpers had done a great job and it was time for them to get some rest too. More pics of Christmas morning tomorrow!

Update on our Christmas presents from the Allen Family. Apparently in our excitement, we missed the card and did not realize that the books were also from some of our other favorite cousins The Guinn Triplets too! Cousins Lauren, Logan, and Lathen all teamed up with with their Mommy and Daddy Cousin Stephanie and Patrick and the Allen's to get Bubbies an extra special set of books. So far his favorite book has been the Curious George book. He is a big fan! Thanks everyone!!!!

Yesterday we got an extra special surprise in the mail!

A box came from Amazon.com, which was no surprise since we were expecting something from them, but when we ripped into the box we discovered that SUPRISE what we had received were gifts from Cousin Emmy all the way in Lubbock, Texas. I am sure with the help of her Mommy and Daddy Josh and Julie (my second cousin's) she picked out some adorable books for us to read to Bubbies. WE were so thrilled that instead of rewrapping the gifts (which we normally do) we went ahead and let Bubbies have them for his bedtime stories last night!

Thanks to the Allen Family for a Fun Christmas Surprise!!

My plan is to attempt to wrap up the week of December 17th through the 21st in one blog. Here it goes!!

On Monday at work we celebrate Suellen and Becky's birthday. I will spare them both by not sharing their ages, but it was a monumental one for Suellen! We had cake and presents and a good laugh at all of the gag gifts!

Then on Tuesday we had James' holiday work party. I really wanted us to look extra cute so that we could get a great family picture in front of the fire place. My plan was to have Bubbies put on his Christmas sweater once we got the party to spare him some discomfort. My plan foiled.

He would not have it and dad was no help.

So needless to say he was wearing an Oscar the grouch shirt for the holiday picture which was really quite fitting.

The guys were enjoying the food!

Then Santa came out. This was about our third encounter with Santa this year, but his first chance to sit on his lap. It did not go so well. It was especially funny because Santa was one of James' co-workers.

On Wednesday we had the guys over for a little Christmas gathering before everyone headed home for the holidays. Bubbies had an extra special gift for everyone. Uncle Jason was too tired to come over, so now he has to wait until Christmas morning to get his present.

On Friday,
My 26th Birthday!!!

We took MO to the airport so that he could head off to see his family in DC and reconnect with his lovely wife Raechel who lives in England for the holidays. We will miss him dearly for the two weeks that he will be gone and I think Bubbies even started to cry when we dropped him off. Have fun MO!!!!! I hope the Steak and Cheese was good!

At some point in time during the week we celebrate my birthday at work with a new calendar and a cute picture frame and they decorated my office.

WE also had our staff Christmas party. It was wonderful. Everyone revealed their Secret Santa's and we brought a dish to share. Bobbi made homemade cinnamon rolls that were awesome!!!

For my birthday we went out to the North Pole to Santa's House and saw the real Santa and Mrs. Claus. They have the same people every year so the kids get really attached. It is too cute. Bubbies didn't want to sit on his lap, but he did say
"Bye Santa" as we were walking away.

Bubbies saw a really big moose there!

Then we had dinner at the best Chinese resutrant in town!

I have to admit that I got to open my present a little earlier in the week because James can't keep a secret. I got some new make-up from Bare Essentials and some new make-up brushes. It was a wonderfully busy week and we are looking forward to a relaxing Christmas. Happy Holidays everyone and we wish we could be home with you all!
